Newsletter Archive

Selected back issues

Council newsletters preserve contemporaneous field judgments, corrections, procedural changes, and disagreements that later summaries sometimes compress. Pagination and wording are retained in the downloadable archive copies.

Publication History

The newsletter began as a six-page photocopied circular distributed to 41 correspondents. Print circulation peaked at 612 in 1998. Issues after 2009 were distributed primarily as PDF scans of the print master. Corrections remain cumulative: a classification amended in a later issue is not removed from the earlier issue.

Archive note

Several runs remain incomplete. Volumes 3, 11, and 14 each have at least one issue known only from citations in correspondence. The Council does not reconstruct missing issues from later summaries.

Indexing

Selected issue references are cross-linked to Media History, Paper TrailLegal & Regulatory, and the Encounter Database. Additional back issues will be added as stable scans are prepared.
